It's not a crappy idea after all
As everyone probably knows, majority of the world is composed of football-loving people. Stories about football fans' passion about the beautiful game are everywhere. For instance, the warring factions in the Nigerian Civil War once declared a ceasefire just to watch the great Pele play in an exhibition match.
There are thousands of football clubs around the world, and for the small clubs in small towns, having the money to participate in transfer windows and paying wages could be a very tough challenge. That's where fundraising ingenuity comes in. Spain's Amoeiro C.F. just happens to have a bizarre promotion.
"The club has called its new lottery Caca de la Vaca, which roughly translates as Crap of the Cow. For €10 a fan is given a one-metre square plot on the pitch. Once a month - starting February 24 - the club cow Rubia will be paraded round the pitch at the Penafita stadium. If the cow craps on your piece of land then you win one of the six prizes on offer, including a widescreen TV, a trip for two to the Canary islands or a Seat Leon Sportline car."
